for the California November General Election

WILPF-CALIFORNIA, the new statutory project established through branch and individual efforts for statewide legislative and ballot measures, has recommendations on four November ballot measures; and additionally calls attention to one of WILPF’s longstanding Principles & Policies in support of abolition of capital punishment. *Our WILPF US Principles & Policies (1985), articulate our section’s support of abolition of capital punishment which informs this recommendation to support Proposition 34 despite the serious issues regarding prison reform that are not addressed in this measure.
